Under the authority of a Director, the Department of Civil Protection shall be responsible for: - the general organization of civil protection throughout the national territory, in conjunction with the relevant ministries; - studies on civil protection measures in times of war and peace, in conjunction with the relevant ministries; - relations with national and international civil protection bodies; - preparing training courses for civil protection personnel, in conjunction with the Department of Human Resources; - examining applications for compensation and financial aid from victims of disaster; - supervising the use of aid; - co-ordinating the resources deployed for civil protection in the form of relief, rescue, logistics and the use of auxiliary forces and corps; - the transfer of corpses; - monitoring the management of aid. The Department Civil Protection shall comprise: - the Studies and Prevention Unit; - the Sub-Department of Co-ordination and intervention
