The Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization shall be responsible for the preparation, implementation and assessment of Government policy on civil protection.

In this capacity, he shall be responsible for:

- the preparation and implementation of regulations and standards on prevention and management of risks and natural disasters, in conjunction with the relevant Government services;

- coordinating national and international actions in case of natural disasters.
