ADMINISTRATION: REGIONAL GOVERNORS MEETING E-mail
The Yaounde Mont Febe Hotel will, on 13, 14, and 15 April 2010, host the First Session of the By-Annual Conference of Regional Governors for 2010.
The deliberations, which will be actually chaired by the Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, will centre on the theme: “Administrative Authority and the Acceleration of the Decentralization process”.

This is the first conference to be organized following the appointment and commissioning of the first Regional Governors and the first transfers of powers and resources of the State to the Regional and Local Authorities. This special context is the logical justification for the choice of the session’s theme.

Apart from Governors’ presentations on the situation in their various regions, there will also be communications by some Cabinet Members. So, the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development shall discuss “the major structural projects carried out all over the country”. His colleague of the Urban development and Housing will dwell on “the C2D and the urban development strategies in Cameroon”. Finally, the Minister of Public Works will present on “the protection of the national roads through load control operations”.

At the end of deliberations the Minister of State will give his directives to Regional Governors to ensure that territorial administration always remains at the service of the citizen and State.
