The Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, Chairman of the Inter-ministerial Committee for Local Services (ICLS) on 27 May 2009, in the council hall of the Yaounde City Council, presided over the deliberations of the second ordinary session of the said committee.

At the end of the deliberations, it was noted that the Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development, Basic Education, Public Works, Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industry are ready to transfer some of their powers and resources to Councils and City Councils in 2010. Other such as the Ministry of Social Affairs and Water and Energy may equally do so during the same budgetary year. The conclusion of the second session of the ICLS will be rapidly transmitted to the National Decentralization Council for the continuation of the ongoing process.
